ImplantsDental implants were first developed in Europe over 45 years ago. They are clinically proven and highly successful. Some of the issues that this dental alternative addresses are:
In the past, missing teeth have been replaced with bridges, partial dentures, and full dentures. These replacements, in many cases, led to problems of their own. Dental implants provide a more natural replacement alternative that enhances self-confidence, improves overall health and allows comfort and ease of chewing. Dental implants are used to replace the roots of missing teeth. They are placed into the jawbone and are a fixed solution to one or more missing teeth. Implants are made of titanium-a very strong, inert metal that is kind to our biology and well accepted by the body. In order to be a candidate for titanium Implants, a patient must meet two criteria. First, gum tissue must be healthy. Second, there must be enough solid bone present to support the implant. When teeth are missing, the jawbone starts to shrink (this is called resorption). In the past, people who had significant bone loss were unable to have implants placed. With new technology, Dr. Cryderman is now able to build bone and place implants successfully. Dr. Cryderman's clients enjoy the benefit of having all treatment provided at his office, from the surgical placement of the implant to the final restorative dentistry.
