Frequently Asked Questions

Do you hold certificates in post-graduate education?

Dr. Cryderman has invested over a decade in post-graduate studies - holding certification as a biologic dentist with IAOMT, Implant certification with Nobel Biocare, including hands on surgical training with world recognized surgeons, as well as studying all aspects of bite disorders with OBI Foundation. The OBI Canadian Institute was formed in 2007 and Dr. Cryderman is a faculty member - allowing him to teach the art and principles of bioesthetic dentistry.

What happens at the first visit?

Your initial appointment is as unique as you are.  We take the time to establish your concerns and expectations,  clarifying treatment goals and past dental history.  We also share our practice philosophy and treatment principles.  From there it's really about making choices - with the all important one being - are we right for you - and do we feel we can provide you  service with soul.

Will you bill my dental insurance?

We are happy to compile your insurance claim form and submit your claim electronically.  We do ask that you pay for treatment at the time of visit.  This way we can stay focused on dentistry - it's what we do best - and not encroach on the insurer insuree relationship.

Can I see you to have mercury fillings removed?

Absolutely! If you have spent some time on our website you probably have an understanding that we are a health conscious dental team,  whose goal is to provide clients with treatment choices that contribute to overall health.  We are however, also conscious of providing information that allows you to understand treatment options and possible implications - so avoiding jumping from the frying pan into the fire!
We follow a strict protocol when removing amalgam restorations and are happy to explain our technique in detail when you call to schedule an appointment.

What about Cosmetic Dentistry?

We want you to have a smile that makes you happy.  You've probably realized by now that we take great care in providing treatment solutions that work - a mouth has to function properly - but we take as much care in providing you with a smile that will make heads turn.

What is a dental implant and is it an option for me?

Dental implants are titanium screws that are placed in the jaw bone to replace the roots of missing teeth. They are a fixed solution to a single missing tooth or an entire jaw of missing teeth. Implants are an exceptional and highly successful alternative to bridges and partial or full dentures. An initial consultation to check for adequate bone is the first step to finding out if implants are an option for you.
